INDIA: TRUELY A DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY???
India is a democratic country. How do you feel when you say so??
Obviously proud, because it is said that India is the largest democratic country. But question is that whether this democracy is really intact for what India used be known of??
Not only I you or anybody, everybody believes that India is a democratic country. But it doesn’t sound realistic today, and it needs a discussion and a lot of cerebration.
Whether democracy means merely a term or just a question to be asked in interviews and exams or just a topic to be covered in text books of children??
Does it really exists and has its great importance for elder’s i.e. voters?
Today questions are raised on existence of term democracy in India? Does democracy means merely “ a representative selected BY the people, FOR the people and OF the people ”.And if so then this definition needs reconsideration again.
And for moments just suppose this definition to be complete, even then this definition has its own contradiction.
1.) Who says these politicians are selected By the people??
No, they select themselves. In democracy people are the king maker, but now only kings are king maker. Better say it’s all the money game.
Where do you see people coming in politics from weaker sections?? They just will, they desire, they wish and they dream, but it’s so dominated by today’s artificial lights that they can’t dare to come out of darkness.
Voters also enjoy watching the political game but they are unaware of the poison that they are dissolving in their own lives and the danger they are creating for their own and country’s future...
And what a real politician should bear in him is willingness of SERVICE.
2.) Of the people??
Actually they are of parties, who says of the people?
3.) FOR the people??
If someone says he must be kidding, actually they are FOR money, power and some personal interests on a basis of 5 year plan.
Even today MLAs or MPs in India are selected on the basis of election. And of course whoever is selected as MLA or MP is selected after gaining majority votes in elections. But the complete process of election has now become so falsified that it has far reaching impacts. Complete voting system in India needs a reconsolidation.
Day by day this complete scenario of democracy is being worst. Today democracy is overpowered by politics. It gave birth to some new concepts of voting.
1.) Sympathy vote
2.) Celebrity endorsement
3.) Political marketing
4.) Manifesto
What is this sympathy vote??
Vote for sympathy, exactly true.
But, one can’t understand which type of sympathy do voters have today for criminals??
Very recent example from Jharkhand, former chief minister Madhu Koda found guilty of scamming 4000 cores and on the other hand voters are supporting her wife Geeta koda and she is elected as MLA.
Is this the sympathy?? Is this sympathy vote?? Or what else is this??
Celebrity Endorsement
Till now you have heard of celebrity endorsement of products. Now politicians are endorsed by celebrities. Of course today Indian public are hardcore fan of Celebrirties.
If Amitabh is wearing Raymond’s suit, people also desire to put on the same Raymond’s suit.
Amitabh is fit because of Dabur chyavanprash so people start having it.
And why not they will vote a leader or politician if salman khan himself is campaigning for a party??
After all they have to be Mayur salman khan....
These celebrities will have to consider over it. They must be happy to see the crowd following them but they are unaware of the destruction they are inviting knowingly or unknowingly just for shake of personal interests.
You vote XYZ party but don’t impress fans to do same.
It’s not democracy.
Political Marketing
Politicians should stop marketing for votes. It would be better if they stop doing so and not to falsifying people.
Manifesto
Actually manifesto is nothing but it’s an estimation of the limit up to which politician plan to loot and make you suffer. But innocent voters can’t understand this.
They should not start following a party on the basis of their manifesto, but they should use their intellect and do some cerebral work before voting, because their voting are very precious and they are real king maker. So chose the right one.
“CASTE YOUR VOTE but DON’T VOTE YOUR CASTE”.
After this long discussion I would warn you lastly not to misinterpret it.
Even today politics is not bad but there are bad politicians in it. So dear please fight for the justice to your country. If really you have “willingness of service for country” in you then please join politics and save it from being a bad name. Please don’t deceit your country. Please make India a real democratic country.
Nation comes first of all things. Listen of your heart. Heart be in left but says always right.
